New Product Releases:
SR650 Scan Engine – Zebra recently announced that the SE4770 is going end of sale and is transitioning to the new SR560 scan engine. Although more technical details are due from Zebra regarding this new scan engine, the reason for switching from the SE4770 to the SR560 is due to the availability of key components. To ensure component issues do not negatively affect Zebra’s supply of scan engines, the SR560 was developed. The SR560 reading performance and specifications match those of the SE4770, providing the same reliable operation you would expect from Zebra Technologies. Since the SR560 utilizes new electrical architecture, it is not possible to downgrade the firmware.
WS501-R – The WS501-R was designed to meet customer demand for more powerful application support that further enhances productivity. This product combines the power of the WS50 wearable terminal with advanced scanning, that now includes UHF RFID support. This upgraded device now provides faster computing and decoding power using the Qualcomm QC2290, along with 3GB RAM and 32GB flash memory. The wearable WS501-R also supports Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.3, and is OS future proofed for Android 14+. RFID support includes dynamic data capture range adjustment out to 5 feet / 1.5 meters.
